Infinix Hot 6X 32GB
I have never really known where Infinix is based. But my ignorance does not hinder this company from prospering. Here is another one from Infinix, the Infinix Hot 6X which I believe succeeds the Infinix Hot 6 (check it out at Phone Place Kenya). It is quite a welcoming experience reviewing this phone since its predecessor geld up quite well and made lots of sales.
People only buy what they feel or think or find good. Now will that be the case with the Hot 6X? There are two ways to find out. The first is to wait and see who it will sell and the second, which I find most convenient it through this descriptive article which will attempt to talk about the subject smartphone in depth. Below is a list of what to expect with it as provided by its manufacturing company.
- 6.2 inch display
- 720 pixels by 1500 pixels resolution
- OS: Android v8.1 Oreo
- Quad Core 1.3GHz Processor, Snapdragon 425 chipset

Drawing conclusions form the list above, I believe most will agree with me when I say that this is by all means a midrange smartphone. Let us take a closer look at it now in the review below.
Communication and networking
Infinix Hot 6X is an LTE 4G enabled smartphone. That means you can also switch to lower speeds like 3G and 2G. Nobody want a smartphone that isn’t 4G enabled. Not in these times and days. I also notice that it has Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM Radio, micro US 2.0 (3.0 reversible would have been great), and that 3.5mmm jack is also on deck. That is pretty much all we get here.
Design and build
Well, this is a plastic build smartphone let me beige by saying that. It has these rounded corners in all four with the volume rocker and power button on the same side. The back has a clean finish with the primary camera on the top right corner and a fingerprint scanner on the top quarter of the back with that LED flash beneath it.
What else- Infinix branding of course on the back as well. The front on the other hand has a notched 6.2 inches display facing you with the selfie camera, face ID scanner, call speaker, flash and sensor housed within the notch. That bottom bezel chin is quite slim, it is noticeable don’t expect not to spot it. It has a solid build okay but if you ask me, this one would have had great feel in hand of it was a metal smartphone.
Like I have mentioned already, it has a 6.2 inch display- a phablet smartphones it is even though in recent times most smartphones can be categorized as that since they come with 6 inch + displays. Anyway it still merits that category. This is a display estate that you will enjoy interacting with to be since.
Them who do a lot of web surfing, gaming and video watching will rip more pleasure with it. With a 720 pixels by 1500 pixels resolution it has good color and good outdoor visibility. A decent display on the Infinix Hot 6X.
Other call it the back camera but I prefer to call it by its intended name- the primary camera since it is the main camera a phone has, only that it is on the back. And here we get a dual: 13MP (f/1.8, AF) that comes with yet another 2MP depth sensor f/2.4 lens. Another thing it comes with is a Quad-LED flash and features like HDR and panorama.
Video recording with it is 1080p@30fps video recording. Then there us that 8MP selfie camera that also comes with a flash. Let it be known that both cameras are good image producers. I mostly fancy that selfie camera, it is quite impressive.
Well isn’t it great to here that Infinix Hot 6X runs Android v8.1 Oreo operating system? I will tell you why it is, because this way we can live with the hope for software updates, unlike in the old days when there was no hope at all since Infinix had themed the OS with their very own customization. It is powered by a Quad Core 1.3GHz Processor and Snapdragon 425 chipset. Okay platform performance for a midrange smartphone at this price point.
There is a 16GB internal memory Hot 6X that runs on 2GB RAM and a 32GB internal storage that has 3GB RAM. Have your choice. These are relatively low internal memories but with the help of an SD card you can expand up to 128GB. There is a dedicated slot for this feature.
Its 4000mAh battery is a respectable capacity which lasts up to two days of usage. This time frame does vary from user to user thought. Some may get slightly less durations.
