Description

Another one from Infinix by Infinix, the 2017 Infinix Smart X5010. Infinix added to its line the Infinix Smart in July 26, 2017. The phone announced by Mobility is a mid-range smartphone and having made its way to the Kenyan market it is only right we do a review of it. This therefore is an overview of the above mentioned phone by Infinix.
Design and build
As already mentioned this is mid-range budget smartphone and that is well reflected on its design, and mostly build. First the phone is made out of plastic all through. On the back of it features a tiny primary camera with a flash below it on the top right corner. There is Infinix branding too on the back with SMART  encrypted down low. It is patterned with horizontal lines running on the back part. The top part of the back also features a line dissecting the camera and runs from one end to the other. It does add to the looks of the Infinix Smart. The front features  a front facing speaker on the top bezel. A front facing camera and its 4.99 inch display panel. This phone looks very okay and feels comfortable to hold, given its size, it is a one handed operation smartphone for those who care much about the same.
Display and camera
The Infinix Smart comes with a 4.99 inch HD IPS touch screen that supports 16 M colors and multi touch. It has a resolution of 2594 x 1944 pixels. A very decent display resolution for a budget smartphone. It is sharp and bright with good color punch. The addition of any type of protection on the display has not been mentioned but feeling it, you sure can bet it is a durable one.
We have two cameras on the Infinix Smart. The first is its 8MP primary camera and the other is a 2MP front facing camera. Well, the primary one is a good performer unlike its average at best front facing shooter. But since there is the addition of flash with both of them you get some nice selfies and photos with these cameras. The secondary one however is best fit for video calls like Skype and WhatsApp video chats.
Performance and memory
This smartphones comes with 16GB of internal storage and 1GB of RAM. Internal memory can however be expanded up to 32 GB using an SD card. Then a 1.3 GHz quad core processor powers the device. These are mid-ranges features that power this device therefore expect just the same here. That however should not translate to poor or low performance dear reader, this phone runs just fine and fairly smooth, especially with its preloaded XOS which is safe, stylish and efficient. It is a bonus to see the Infinix Smart run on Android Nougat 7.0.
Battery
It comes with a 3060mAh Li-ion battery. A very good battery capacity for a phone with a 5.0 inch display and mid-range processing performance. With it you will get up to 8 hours of talk time and 250 hours on standby.
Connectivity and network
There is support for WLAN (Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi hotspot), GPS with A-GPS Navigation, FM Radio and it comes with MicroUSB 3.0.
Network: GPRS/EDGE/3G/3.75G internet connectivity. It is a dual SIM smartphone with dual standby.
Sound: Front facing speakers (loudspeaker). 3.5 mm jack present and it has Dirac 3D stereo surrounding.
Wrap up. The Infinix Smart qualifies as a cool middle class budged smartphone. it comes with the pleasure of choice of color- black, red or white. Have your choice.
