Lenovo K6 Note

Lenovo is a widely known manufacturer of computers and laptops. Well this time, the same company reached terms with Motorola and cooperated to make a smartphone, the Lenovo K6 Note. This is an overview of the subject phone. Let us see what it has to offer and if it is worth your money, although it does come at an affordable price. Note: it is the bigger brother to Lenovo K6 check it out https://phoneplacekenya.com/product/lenovo-k6-16gb/

Design and build

I expected a plastic phone until I did the unboxing of the Lenovo K6 Note. One word, wow! For the price it comes with, its full metal design is a huge bonus to the end user. This phone feels and look premium, almost to the standard of a flagship smartphone. On the back is an LED flash sandwiched by the camera and a fingerprint sensor.  Down at the bottom is Lenovo’s branding. The face of it has a selfie camera, a sensor, an earpiece and three touch capacitive soft keys and a 5.5 inch display panel. There is no physical home button here. Volume rockers and the power button are on the side of the phone. I have to say this phone delivered more than I expected with its design given its price tag. It stands at 151 x 76 x 8.4 mm grams and weighs 169 grams.

The screen size of the Lenovo K6 Note is 5.5 inches. It is an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen panel with a 72.7% screen to body ratio. With its 1080 x 1920 pixels (~401 ppi pixel density) resolution you get some really good brightness, color punch and representation. Out there, getting a display this good on a 5.5 inch screen for the same price as the Lenovo K6 Note is impossible. This kind of display is only found in high end devices and sometimes even flagships. Lenovo is really getting at the high end devices including this kind of display on this phone.

Well, unless I read wrong, this phone’s main selling point is its camera. Yes! Shoot you best, show your best! That is the slogan going with this phone’s camera. A 16 MP primary camera with phase detection autofocus and dual-LED (dual tone) flash. Then a secondary 8 MP Selfie camera. True, the pixel count does count real time. I love how well the Lenovo K6 Note takes good photos and selfies too. Not just that but also the camera software is another place Lenovo took their time with. There is geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama among other features with the camera. Software layout is also smooth and extremely easy to navigate through.

Video can be recorded up to 1080p. Brilliant camera here, and again for the price it comes with, it is a just an offer too good to turn down.

Connectivity and network

Network : Single SIM (Nano-SIM) or Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by). GSM 2G, HSPA 3G and LTE 4G.

There is support for Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspot, Bluetooth 4.2, A2DP, LE, GPS with A-GPS, FM Radio and it comes with microUSB 2.0

Performance and Memory

Internal memory for Lenovo K6 Note is 32 Gb and it comes in two types ,a 2GB or a 3GB RAM version, your choice.

It comes with a Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430 chipset, an Octa-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and Adreno 505 GPU for graphics and runs on android 6.0.1 marshmallow.

Lenovo K6 Note packs a 4000mAh battery. I need not say but I will anyway, this battery capacity is even bigger than the ones we see in flagship devices. It is power that will last you up to a day and a half without looking for your phone charger. It has an endurance rating of 91 hours.

There is support for Vibration; MP3, WAV ringtones alert types, a loudspeaker that gives some good sound and on its 3.5mm jack you get Dolby Atmos audio enhancement with headphones. There also is a dedicated mic for active noise cancelation.

Let us wrap this up. Good is an understatement. The Lenovo K6 Note has a lot to offer for relatively cheap price. Stating from an excellent camera all the way to good battery life. I can boldly recommend this phone to anyone out there looking for a good and solid smartphone. This is it.

It comes in three colors Silver, Gold and Dark Grey
