Already I can understand why this is the Galaxy A6+. That plus sign implies more processing, more graphics, more screen size and so much more. Below is my descriptive essay of it.
Design and build
Well, in this department the only difference with the A6 is the size. Everything else has been maintained from the positioning of the primary camera, led flash and Samsung label on the back and the dynamics of the top and bottom bezel. It is of metal build all over except for the front face of this phone which is made of glass. Antenna lines have been maintained too in a stylish fashion to ensure the looks of the Galaxy A6 + remain at the top. Generally it has good looks and a great build. Measuring 160.2 x 75.7 x 7.9 mm it should weigj an estimated 170 grams.
Display and camera
A 6.0 Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen is the display size and type of this phone respectively. AMOLED panels are sharp and have great viewing angles so do expect just that right here. Also to note is that it has 1080 x 2220 pixels (~411 ppi density) resolution, a 75.3% screen-to-body ratio and that Always on display feature which initially was reserved for flagship Samsung smartphones only. A phablet smartphone it is so activities like playing games, watching videos etc will be so much fun on it.
Primary: Unlike the A6 the Plus comes with a Dual: 16 MP (f/1.7) + 5 MP (f/1.9), phase detection autofocus, with LED flash.
Features include Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama and HDR while video recording has been maintained a 1080p@30fps. The Secondary lens is a 24 MP (f/1.9) with LED flash as well. I love both cameras, as test score I’d say a B+ performance for how nice a picture either of them can shoot, even in dim light scenes.
Performance and memory
Rocked on is Qualcomm SDM450 Snapdragon 450 chipset an Octa-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and an Adreno 506 GPU. Great news is Android Oreo powers this device. And I say great because it was/ is the latest software update as at time of release of this phone. That processor does manage Galaxy A6+ tasks just fine, with easy and without stutter.
Choose between 64 GB, 4 GB RAM or 32 GB, 3 GB RAM version of A6+. Either can have internal memory expanded up to 256 GB with a dedicated slot for an SD card.
It does pack an impressive Non-removable Li-Ion 3500 mAh battery. Capacity enough to comfortably go a whole day of usage and even end it with some charge left.
Samsung Galaxy A6+ is a perfect mid-ranger. I do recommend it for its camera, platform and battery performance. Comes with the choice of four colors Black, Gold, Blue or Lavender- rock it your way.
