Sony Xperia L2
This article is a focus on SONY’s Xperia L2 which was announced in January of 2018. The L line of Xperia smartphones has had predecessors like the L1 and other versions. Check them out at www.phonplacekenya. Below are the key features of the Sony Xperia L2.

This is a mid range smartphone judging from its specs. Below is an in depth review of it.
Design and build
I’ll mostly note what caught my attention with this smartphone. First, and this one no Xperia enthusiast will not fail to notice is that there is a rear mounted fingerprint scanner. Usually, and previously, Sony mounted the fingerprint scanner on the power button which was placed on the side of its smartphones. It seems the company is looking to take a new approach with this feature, a more familiar approach if so I may say since most companies either have the fingerprint scanner front/rear mounted. So the scanner sits right below the primary camera (which has also been centrally placed this time) on the back of this phone. Typical every other thing placement on the front side of this Xperia smartphone with SONY branding on the top bezel (at the middle), a selfie camera and a sensor to the right and left of the branding. The bottom bezel remains clean. I love to see the call speaker on the top bezel. It is a loudspeaker as well. Generally this phone does look and feel like a great mid range Xperia phone. Nothing out of the ordinary but, not mediocre in any way either.
Display and camera
Its wide 5.5 IPS LCD capacitive touch screen is great for watching videos, playing videos and surfing the internet. Sony notes that it can get too big to operate single handedly sometimes. In such an event, you can shrink it to a mini display for convenience. It is a respectable display with a 720 x 1280 pixels (267 ppi density) resolution and has Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
Its 13MP primary camera takes pictures with more detail than ever before. By ever before, I refer to the previous L Xperia smartphones. The 8MP selfie camera on the other hand takes super wide selfies to fit in lots of friends and scenery. Camera performance is the most impressive thing about this smartphone. Selfie and photo lovers will most definitely love this phone. Camera features present here include geo tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR and panorama. Video recording stands at 1080p@30fps on the Xperia L2.
Performance and memory
It comes running on Android Nougat 7.1, has a Mediatek MT6737T chipset, a Mali T720MP2 GPU and a Quad core 1.5GHz Cortex A53 CPU.
Internal memory is 32GB with 3GB of RAM and can be expanded up to 256GB using an SD card. It does handle tasks and operations smooth and seamless in case you worry about it. Multi tasking is a breeze here and this phone hardly, or rarely hangs or stutters even with multiple applications running in the back ground.
Its 3300mAh battery is built to last. “Enjoy your smartphone for longer with a 3300mAH battery. Smart charging technologies help keep the battery healthy and give it a longer lifespan,” Sony Xperia L2 official website.
Enjoy a more enhanced audio experience with automatically optimized settings, thanks to ClearAudio+ which ensures deep lows, while the equalizer gives you the control to make everything sound just the way you want it to on you Xperia L2.
Communication and network
WLAN (wi-fi), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, FM Radio and USB Type C 1.0 reversible connector.
2G, 3G and 4G networks are all supported by the Xperia L2.
This smartphone, is a budget Xperia that I would recommend for its audio clarity and impressive camera quality. Why not buy yours today at www.phoneplacekenya.com?
