SONY XPERIA XA1
Released in April 2017, the Sony Xperia XA1 is the smaller and cost-effective version of the XA1 Ultra is offered for an affordable price (considering Sony’s tags) without sacrificing Sony’s premium design and compact feel and look of the phone. With the great features it encompasses, this device surely beats most of its price range competitors and stands out among other Xperia models. Below are its features.
Design and Build
At 145 x 67 x 8 mm the XA1 weighs just 143 grams and is great for one handed use given its height and 5.0 inch screen display. It has a plastic back and an all rounded metal frame which gives it a stunning look from whichever position. Its power button, volume rocker and a dedicated camera button are all on the right edge of the phone. It has no camera bump since the camera is slightly tucked into the back cover which is a plus for flat surface typing and operation.
Its 5.0 inch display panel is an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels (294 ppi pixel density).this is a fine display for reading even in direct sunlight. Color saturations are well represented with this display. It also supports 16M colors and multi touch with up to 4 fingers. To top it all, it is a scratch-resistant glass s you won’t have to worry about your phone getting unnecessary marks on its screen.
Now for the good news for picture lovers. This surely is a phone you would want to pick. Being its most notable feature, the XA1’s primary camera is 23MP, yes! 23 MP. You surely will get the most descent of photos from the XA1. It has manual mode which allows you to take full control of your pictures and decide how you want them to look! Its auto focus is superb and both daylight and night photos look great and retail detail even when zoomed. Its front/selfie camera is equally descent. At 8MP it has a wide lens that lets you cram in numerous people in your pic.
Video wise the camera records 1080p@30fps and up to FHD (Full HD) with video stabilization, so your videos won’t be too shaky even when you record in shaky states.
It’s a great camera. Xperia I’d say is the king of camera phones and they lived up to that title with the XA1. It also features a flash.
Platform and Memory
Xperia XA1 has Android Nougat 7.0 straight from its package. It rocks a Mediatek MT6757 Helio P20 chipset, an Octa-core (4×2.3 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4×1.6 GHz Cortex-A53) CPU and a Mali-T880MP2 GPU.
Its 32GB of internal memory can be expanded using an SD Card up to 256GB and runs on 3GB of RAM.
Connectivity and Network
The XA1 supports WLAN Wi-Fi 802.11, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS with A-GPS GLONASS, NFC, an FM Radio, and a USB 2.0, type C 1.0 reversible connector and USB Host. The type C charger allows for Sony’s (Pump Express+ 2.0) quick charging.
The XA1 has GSM / HSPA/ LTE technology. It also has GPRS and EDGE. Also to note, the XA1 is a dual SIM phone.
The XA1 has a Non-removable Li-Ion 2300 mAh battery with Up to 560 h (2G) / 603 h (3G) standby and 11 h 20 min (2G) / 10 h (3G) t0alk time. Its tested endurance level is 72 hours.
It has Vibration; MP3, WAV ringtones alert types, loudspeaker, 3.5mm jack, and active noise cancellation with a dedicated mic.
I would recommend this Sony Xperia XA1 to users looking for a compact phone with good build, an awesome camera, and just about anyone who need a great quality for a quite fair price.
It comes in four colors White, Black, Gold, and Pink.
