It seems CC line of Xiaomi will be a line of midrange smartphones. And do check out Xiaomi CC9e’s bigger brother- Xiaomi CC9.
Design and build
Well Xiaomi CC9e gas a glossy back panel. It literally glows especially on that blue color option. There is a white or black option for color as well. Some notable design features include that and also the dew drop display panel on the front. The chin and top bezel are also quite thick your eyes will not miss those.
I wonder why though, and especially for the top bezel- could have been slimmer. Nonetheless, the display panel still stands tall at 6.01 inches facing you each time and beneath it is the fingerprint scanner. Under the display fingerprint unlocking is fast overtaking the traditional physical scanner. Personally, I don’t mind- this is a cool feature.
Display and camera
Xiaomi fancied a Super AMOLED technology for the capacitive touchscreen of the CC9e. That is neat. And of course, having done so it could only follow that Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection would also be thrown to the mix. This display is 6.01 inches with 80.3% screen-to-body ratio and 720 x 1560 pixels resolution.
Though you cannot measure by looking, the aspect ratio here is 19.5:9. Somewhat its 286 ppi density seems like a let down until you actually power up the phone. Yes, it is slightly dimmer than you would want, but still so much that you cannot view your content in outdoor conditions. It is just fine really this surely isn’t a big deal.
Besides being the more affordable option, Xiaomi CC9e still retains a three-camera setup on the back just likes its bigger brother. The main lens being a splendid 48 MP f/1.8 wide camera lens. Then there is an ultrawide lens 8MP and a third 2MP depth sensor. I might not want to go into details of how detailed photos taken by CC9e look. I’ll let you decide for yourself. Maybe a question to help your imagination. How impressive can a 48MP camera be?
Now as you think about it, also keep in mind that the front facing camera is 32 MP, f/2.0. We can settle this debate at- let the figures speak for themselves. Video recording capability is 4K 2160p@30fps, 1080p@30/60/120fps. I mean, it can only get better.
Xiaomi CC9e is a phone I may consider high end for reasons I am about to highlight for you. Keep in mind, I said may- it still remains a midrange smartphone you know.
There is a Qualcomm SDM665 Snapdragon 665 (11 nm) chipset on board here with an Octa-core (2×2.0 GHz Kryo 260 Gold & 6×1.8 GHz Kryo 260 Silver) CPU. Then that Adreno 610 GPU isn’t a processor to dismiss. For with the sort of Android 9.0 (Pie) optimization here you will realize this phone does perform tasks willingly and with ease.
It is okay, you can breathe now. There is room for storage expansion this time up to 256 GB (uses shared SIM slot). The internal storage nonetheless is either 128 GB + 6 GB RAM or 64 with 4/6 GB RAM. I know 6GB RAM is the choice model here, be wise.
Xiaomi CC9e comes with a non-removable Li-Po 4030 mAh battery that is charged via fast battery charging 18W. It is a great battery capacity.
Well, do not forget to check out his bigger brother Xiaomi CC9. Xiaomi CC9e simply follows in CC9’s footsteps. I think it is a brilliant midrange smartphone. One I would mostly recommend for its platform and camera performance.
